What Are the Odds?
You Will Miss 100% of the Shots You Don’t take
This post takes a brief peek at some “odd” odds and their implications for seeking peace and joy.
We start with the matter of not making the effort to explore and experiment or at—thus the quote above. Well now...I am certain that many times people think about taking a shot at something and decide it’s not in the cards and while one might imagine that happens dall too often maybe we could modify the statement to say.... ...and if you don’t assist others in taking their shot you just miss even more. That is to say maybe it’s chances we take together. That matter and maybe it’s the encouragement we share that allows people to adopt the experimental framework needed to seek peace and joy and make hopes become real. After all...imagine a field goal kicker without a holder (Lucy being the exception). And imagine a NASCAR driver without a pit crew. Imagine a quarterback without an offensive lone.... Okay imagine a ...well just. Imagine what a world where. Nobody. Helped would look like.
summary point—Take a shot and let others help and when others. Take a shot help them.
The Odds are 1 in 117 that your pilot is drunk.
Holy Top gun Maverick... So if you are a frequent flyer chances are the pilot was flying before he or she took that metal tube and rocketed it through the sky. Now see you were taking a chance and if you are reading this things turned out okay. Also air travel is safer than car travel so maybe we. Should require at least 117 people to be driving drunk—-oh wait they probably are so maybe we should keep working on these self-driving options.
Summary point—you do brave things every day and a lot of times you don’t recognize them, however, others may and that’s important.
One in Four People in the United States will have a diagnosed condition that is considered. A disability for a significant portion of their life—significant portions may vary but are at least 6 months.
So let’s cut the crap about wanting to be “normal.” Somebody walking through your door, sitting. Across the table, riding in your plane hoping. You have pilot 116, etc... is going go approach life using alternative means of interfacing. With the environment. Heck they might even be a liberal (JK). With this type of reality one might see the real value in finding multiple ways of teaching and learning things, getting from place to place, arranging housing, and well doing almost anything. Oh and the next time you go through an automatic door or ask your phone to tell you something be grateful that these disabling. Conditions created a path to an enhanced life for many many folks
Summary point
Normal is a setting on the wash machine. And labels are for jars—inventing a variety of ways to do things by accepting a variety of. Possible solutions is probably a value able way to approach life.
The Odds that a left-handed person will get injured using something designed for a right handed person is. About One in 4.4 million
On the other hand. The odds of finding something designed for someone left handed people is about. 1 in 100 million (just Kidding) Also the odds that you have permanently scarred hands from trying to write left-handed in a Catholic school in the 1960s is well even money at worsat so it’s lucky you can grip anything at all. Reports vary greatly with regard to how many people are. Naturally left handed, however, maybe the lesson here is that we often get used to the way we do things and assume everyone else is better off doing them that way. Somehow it seems we enhance our odds of being open to peace and joy if we use our other hand or change our vantage point from time to time. Just don’t trim your nails with a left-handed chain saw.
Summary Point learn to drink with your “opposite” hand because. If you finjure your dominant side and you have to deal with health care administration you are going to need a drink but don’t do that drinking. At the airport.... you don’t want to spot 117 after you’ve gone through security.
Well there is about. A d100% chance this is about enough for today. In the end you can take chances... or help those who are... You can’t control the odds of some things you will have to do, however, they will probably work out. You will not always be able to take the “normal” path and not everything is going to be designed for your. Benefit, however if you approach things with. Modesty, courage, and open minded notions—the odds might just be in your favor.
