PJ week number two purple elephants

 PURPLE ELEPHANTS ACTUALLY CAUSED EVERYTHING

What if...

seeking peace and joy requires different things for different  people...that’s probably. A no-brainer—yet I suppose  mentioning it doesn’t hurt given we (and by that I mean I) often think that everything concept. We think about means just the same thing to everyone—hint—I’dbet my bottom dollar and yours that’s not so.

I’m gong to. Get around to Purple. elephants in a second...however first  I’d like. Some of you to put on your 80’s  music hat on(a dark colored sparkly one would. Be appropriate)  and look up Howard Jones—No not the. Founder of a once promising. Motel chain that’s Howard Johnson— Old Oh and not  the city clerk from Mayberry  that’s  HowardSpraig(sp).  Or thatmouthy sports announcer—that’s Howard Cosell.  Howard Jones’ most  well-known song was

No One  is to Blame”

You see many. Times something disturbs the flow that many people  feel makes up Peacee.  right away before th ripple of change created by the disruption has even played itself out a big rush  to find out who or what threw the pebble  in the water  is feverishly underway.   So many folks are paralyzed and nearly refuse to do much of anything in. Terms. Of shaping the disruption into a post it even thing unless and until they can assign blame for the disruption.

Do we need to understand causal relationships...sometimesDo we need to admit them... sometimes do we ne3eed to prevent the repeated  mistakes of our past well probably—howeverI’ll throw out this mind bender in for good measure.  There is no past.

You Read that Correctly

There is No Past...There is only a currently accepted story about  things that happened before now and how they impact what is happening now.

So if the past seems to be preventing you from seeking peace or promoting  it or helping others pursue it—I would  invite you to adopt an acronym. For  peace that just might  break on through to the other side.

 PURPLE ELEPHANTS ACTUALLY CAUSED EVERYTHING

You see... where did we come from and how did we get here are interesting, however knowing where. We are and what is happening now is. For more critical.  If you seek peace and joy and are going to take responsibility for creating it the actions you are taking today  and the actions you will take when tomorrow becomes today are far more relevant than what went on when the purple elephants were running amuck.  We might all benefit. From focusing. On the tools needed to do the job at hand.  After all  if you call your mechanic and  say my battery is dead would you expect  his shop to senf out a person with a jack and a tire iron because you had a flat tire a few days back?

In short today’s ideas about the past. Impact today no matter how those ideas got here. So I’m proposing  that our first step doesn’t always have to be to establish  blame and  to battle over. The correctness. Of our interpreation of things  that happened earlier.  Sometimes wee can just embrace the changes and do the experiments needed to find out what will move us toward the peace and joy we seek.

okay.. It’s my birthday or in keeping  with today’s theme... Today is the day generally assigned to celebrate the day that  the pebble called Jim was tossed into the waters of the. Universe and  we can  see a few ripples  if we look especially when looking in the mirror—Oh those are wrinkles?

Okay since it’s my birthday I’m going to wrap this up  to go spend time. Elsewhere.  Unfortunately for you..since I mentioned elephants...we can’t leave without a couple of my favorite elephant jokes and even Howard Jones can. Say I’m to blame  for bringing these into the public domain again.

I don’t  know if I can  get an elephant to swim, but  I can make an elephant float.  Of Course it will require a really big glass a lot of sodas and some fairly large scoops of ice cream

What time is it  when an elephant  sits on your keyboard?  Well it’s the end of what you planned to write for the day or quitting time

Peace Out.
